Soulful vocals backed by a steady pocket* led to 30 years of extensive collaborations with many local faves like The Bellini Band and The Bellini Grande Orchestra and the Singapore Swing Band featuring Anita Sarawak, with whom he toured with for over 6 years internationally. In 2001, Stephen became Music Director to Devil’s Bar for 5 years and opened up St James Power Station as Music Director right after. Successfully directed Bellini Room and Bellini Grande (currently Shanghai Dolly) in 2006 and Tatler’s Best Club awards twice in 2009 and 2010 for the Bellini Room.

Beverly has built her career on the principles of versatility in genre and linguistic abilities. She instils the belief in her students that true versatility means being a Master of all Trades and a Jack of None. At 19, Beverly reached the #3 spot on 98.7FM’s top 10 charts in late 1998 with the hit song from The Teenage Textbook soundtrack, No More Tears and was also in the 3rd run of Action Theatre’s Chang & Eng. A multi-threat in the performing arts with TV, film, musical theatre, Beverly was invited to perform at the SingJazz Festival two years in a row and has also performed regionally for big names like Daimler-Chrysler, BMW (China), British Airways, Bayer, Unilever and Standard Chartered to name a few.
Genevieve is a vocalist who has over 8 years of performing experience under her belt. More affectionately known as Gen to her peers, she is often described by many as having a sweet and alluring voice. Often said of having an effortless but versatile singing style, Gen has the ability to perform across genres including pop-rock, R&B, soul, musical theatre and jazz. She first began her music career with the band Afterhours where she took on the role of keyboardist and backup vocalist and later on began fronting the band alongside frontman, Robert Sunga. Asides singing for many notable brands including Prudential, DBS, Rolax etc. for their product launches, D&Ds, she has also had the honour of working with other notable musicians such as drum legend Louis Soliano and composer/arranger Goh Kheng Long. During her brief stay in the world of acappella, she also won the championship title at The Singapore Acappella Championship 2016, and the Jury’s Special Award at Taiwan’s Vocal Asia 2016 with her team, The Apex Project with her playing the role of the soprano and comusic director. Her latest achievement includes winning the championship title at annual We Love Jazz Battle 2017. Currently, asides singing for weddings and events, she is pursuing a degree in Jazz Vocals at Lasalle College of The Arts and sings regularly at Shuffle Bistro Bar on Mondays with her band, Impromptus.
Graduating from the Hunan Normal University with an Early Childhood Development degree at 17, Tracy went on to join the Guangdong Arts Ensemble in 1991, where she was champion for 3 years running in the Guangdong Province Singing Competition. Fastforward to Singapore, 2003, Tracy recorded an album entitled “The unforgettable Xiao Xiao” which sold over 2000 copies and all proceeds were donated to the National Kidney Foundation in Singapore. Since the album, “Xiao Xiao” has gained popularity and gets invited to perform at the annual dinner for the Singapore Artistes Association (of which she is a member) to sing popular favorites of the audience.

Dong Ying is the Executive Director of the Sheng Association under China Chinese Traditional Music Association and has played alongside musicians at the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, China Radio Chinese Orchestra, Beijing Central Conservatory of Music and more. She has taught piano, music theory and aural training for many years, with her students passing the Central Conservatory of Music auditioning tests and continues to work with piano beginners to foster the development of strong piano fundamentals. She was awarded Outstanding Teacher by the Melbourne International Music Competition in 2016 and collaborates internationally with many musicians around the world, publishing many recordings. Using lectures and masterclasses, she brings Chinese music to countries like Taiwan, Denmark, Germany and Mexico.
Bao Di obtained his Masters degree in Music Studies from the University of Melbourne in 2008 after graduating from China’s Central Conservatory of Music. A keen advocate of music education, he came to Singapore in 2009 and engaged in the teaching and researching music. Bao Di’s love for Popular Music led to the curriculum formulation of Popular Music in Singapore and he was awarded the title of Visiting Professor by Harbin Normal University and Heilongjiang College of Arts. His paper on “The Changes and Development of Rhythm and Blues” was also published by two academic music journals “Northern Music” and “Music Life” in 2014.
Jennifer is a fully qualified child educator with years of experience in teaching piano and theory to kids of all ages and levels. Her endearing disposition makes her very approachable and therefore extremely popular with younger children. Highly experienced in leading training programs designed for group performances, Jennifer has helped hundreds of children develop skills in notation reading and the ability to sight-read (decipher charts on sight). She’s also been the reason for majority of her students scoring a merit in their piano examinations

Dan started playing trumpet in 1994 in California, USA, where he studied with many local Drum Corps International alumni. While classically trained, he is regularly sought after to perform many different styles including hip-hop, Latin, funk, and jazz.
Dan currently teaches trumpet, cornet, baritone, trombone, and horn as a peripatetic brass instructor at various Singapore international schools.
One is assuredly in good hands when tutored by Lina, who approaches her craft with finesse and inspires her students to do the same using her abundant knowledge and skills.
With accolades that include being admitted into the Shenyang Conservatory of Music at the tender age of 13, successfully performing the symphony “New World” at the 1998 Korean International Music Festival and being the main reason why her diploma students score distinctions in the ABRSM exams, she still refuses to rest on her laurels.
She has only just recently conquered yet another milestone by obtaining an IMMA Advanced Diploma.
Specializing in Chinese Orchestra, Guzheng, Guitar and Ukulele, Mu Qing has about 9 years of experience teaching in Singapore Primary and Secondary schools for their Compulsory Curricular Activity program. His approachable disposition helps him to connect with his students and thereby allows him to successfully motivate them to achieve better results. From elementary level to diploma level, students taught by Mu Qing have achieved great results in the Diploma Grading Exam.
With 10 years of performing experience under his belt, Joshua Tan has a wealth of knowledge in music beyond his 26 years. Classically trained in the piano (Grade 8 ABRSM), the mostly self taught guitarist and vocalist got his first taste of performing “live” in Boat Quay, and there was no looking back since. Coming from a family of musicians (his father is a choir master, and his brother is a full-time musician), Joshua’s natural flair for performing music quickly saw him progress onto bigger and better venues and gigs. For leisure, Joshua writes songs, and has sold his original compositions to popular Asian recording artistes. When an opportunity came up 3 years ago to teach music to youths, Joshua slipped into his new role with ease. Now, Joshua’s focus is on nurturing the musical talents of tomorrow, teaching the guitar, piano, and drums to eager young minds.
Barely 9 years old, Fong Liyang was enchanted by the erhu and, began taking lessons under the tutelage of Mr Liu Chong Zheng. Avid learner Liyang obtained his diploma certificate in erhu at the age of 15 and shortly after joined the Singapore Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and furthered his studies in erhu performance under Singapore Chinese Orchestra’s concertmaster, Mr Li Bao Shun, graduating in 2013 with a Diploma in Music Performance from NAFA. Liyang is the present concertmaster of the People’s Association Youth Chinese Orchestra and can also play the gaohu, zhonghu, banhu and jinghu.

It is astounding to meet one so graceful and yet firm as Ke Na. Qualified with a background that includes the Singapore Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Royal College of Music in London, Sichuan Conservatory of Music, the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music. Having won various honors and awards, Ke Na has been the reason for Guzheng CCAs in various primary schools within the North East areas. Not only is she a seasoned performer, Ke Na is also most comfortable with teaching students of all ages and from all walks of life.

Ji Ying’s music teaching career spans the Singapore Raffles College of Music Pipa Senior Lecturer, Singapore Music School of Pipa Pipa Instructor, Nanyang Art Institute Lion City Chinese Orchestra Art Director and Academician of West London School of Music. Graduated from the prestigious Beijing Central Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of the famous lute player “Wang faction” descendant Professor Hao Yifan. A beneficiary of countless scholarships, she eventually found her way into the CCTV music channel recording program, releasing award-winning music albums like, “Singing Landscape”, which won the “Most Popular Asian New World Music Album Award” in 2009. Her many years of performance include places like Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Germaine has performed with Hsinghai Art Association Chinese Orchestra since 2007, with both solo and chamber performances at the Esplanade, Singapore Conference Hall, Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, SOTA Concert Hall, Young Musician’s Society Auditorium, Yong Siew Toh Music Conservatory Concert Hall, Shanghai Conservatory of Music, James Cohan Gallery (Shanghai), and many more. Thanks to dizi veteran Mr. Ong Thiam Teck, the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan Art and Cultural Scholarship and the Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship Award, she successfully graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in July 2014 with her Masters in Dizi and currently performs with Hsinghai Art Association and Braddell Heights Chinese Orchestra.
Jason Chua is a dedicated woodwind musician of a rare caliber. His innate natural talent has allowed him to not only learn but also master his craft through various events he has participated in over the years. After scoring a Distinction for his Grade 8 Dizi Examination held by the National University of Singapore, Jason, once a student conductor for the Yuying Secondary School Chinese Orchestra, has been invited to play for many illustrious events like the launch of the Pioneers Ordinary Stories, by Singapore’s Prime Minister.
Yona has not only excelled at the Suona but is also an expert in music knowledge including both Chinese and Western music history. From the age of 13, Yona has been guided by famous suona masters like Professor Fan Guozhong, Professor Liu Zhuxi, Shi Haibin, Zhou Dongchau amongst many other famous players and educators. Now a suona master herself, Yona has performed at countless professional exhibitions and large scale theatrical productions like the second and fourth China – Tianjin Mazu Culture and Tourism Festival.
